If we could explain this phrase in a few words, it would mean part of creativity, which is that you see
associations that others don't see. To be an innovator is to come up with something that others have not thought
of. Whether it's inventing a new product or solving a problem, being innovative requires creativity because you
have to be able to connect abstract ideas and facts to existing scenarios before you can create something unique
and different.
Of course, we are all different (some of us are blessed with a natural tendency to be innovative and creative),
but that doesn't mean we can't do something to push the limits of our creative and innovative minds.
Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Accordingly, a genius is often merely a talented person who has
done all of his or her homework.
Thomas A. Edison
We're not just workaholics who work 24/7, we're obsessed with innovation and development. We breathe development
and the desire to develop. What's more, we are inspired by innovators just like us.
The most innovative people in the world are also the most inquisitive among us. They ask a lot of questions
(often about things the rest of us take for granted) and are always looking for ways to improve.
Innovators are not just content with the status quo; they like to challenge what is accepted as the norm or
standard.
Rather than relying on preconceived notions about things and people, we prefer to look at new things from
different perspectives. Innovators don't just invent things out of nothing; they build on existing ideas.
In fact, many of the products we see today are the result of merging two or more ideas or concepts.
